Saugerties Welcomes Dr. Rick Timbs for Budget Planning Presentation
With a career spanning decades, Dr. Timbs brings extensive experience in school finance, having served as District Superintendent of the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, superintendent of multiple school districts, and as an adjunct professor specializing in educational finance.
Dr. Timbs’ mission is clear: “Part of my job is to try and protect the school district as much as I can by giving the best advice I can come up with.” He will carefully analyze factors like State aid, mandates, benefits, and the tax cap to help guide Saugerties' financial future.

Since the start of the school year, Saugerties has been recognizing student-athletes through the True Sawyer Blue Teammate of the Month program.
This recognition highlights students who go beyond wins and losses. Honorees show a selfless attitude, a strong work ethic, and a coachable mindset. They support teammates, lead by example, and put the team first.
Each month, coaches select students who reflect what it means to be True Sawyer Blue.
