As part of its ongoing Superintendent Search process, the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education is seeking community input on the experience, skills, and characteristics desired for its next superintendent of schools.
Parents, staff members, students, and community residents are invited to contribute to this important decision by participating in a brief survey. The survey can be accessed from the District’s homepage at https://bit.ly/3BwrNjW and will be available through Saturday, May 20.
This is your opportunity to share what qualities you would like to see in the next
superintendent. The District’s search consultant, Ulster BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Jonah Schenker, will use the results of this anonymous, confidential survey, along with feedback gathered from community focus groups, to create a profile that will help the Board of Education identify and interview potential candidates who best match the District’s needs.
In addition, Dr. Schenker has scheduled a casual community-based feedback session, which will allow stakeholders to discuss the qualities they value in a school leader. Participants can join Dr. Schenker from 6:00-7:30 PM on Monday, May 22 at the High School Media Center.
“It is very important to the Board that the community has opportunities to share their thoughts about the skills, qualities, and characteristics of our next school leader,” said Board of Education president Robert Thomann. “The survey, community-based feedback session, and focus groups have been established to provide stakeholders with a voice to this important conversation.” Any questions can be directed to the Board of Education at firstname.lastname@example.org
