Butterflies Take Flight at Cahill Elementary

Students carefully observed the caterpillars grow, form their chrysalis, and finally emerge as butterflies right in their classroom. During the release, many of the butterflies quickly spread their wings and flew away, while a few stayed nearby long enough for students to get an even closer look before heading off on their journey.

After the butterflies were released, students were asked to journal about the experience and reflect on everything they had learned throughout the project. It was a memorable hands-on learning experience that brought science to life and created lasting memories for students!
